There’s a great new project coming to our region – the Ebensburg Rotary Club Dog Park! This project was originally requested through surveys issued by the Ebensburg Borough. As a community-focused organization, the Ebensburg Rotary Club has been leading the design and fundraising efforts. It has received tremendous recognition and support from residents, local business owners, Ebensburg Borough, the Cambria County Commissioners and grant office as well as State Representatives. | ||
Ebensburg Dog ParkFunds have been successfully raised for this estimated $228,000 project and we are excited to announce that construction will begin soon! Bids for construction were due Thursday, February 23rd by noon. Straw Construction was awarded the project and construction is expected to start April 10, 2023 and will be completed by October 31, 2023.
Dog Park Facts:
- The future site of the dog park is located on Borough property near the roller hockey rink at Lake Rowena Park in Ebensburg at 952 Rowena Drive, Ebensburg, PA 15931.
- The Ebensburg Borough will maintain the park.
- The dog park will have two sections - one for large dogs and one for small dogs
- It will include water stations, waste stations, obstacles, benches, and perimeter fencing.
- The construction will involve installation of drainage lines, a new storm inlet, asphalt paving, concrete paving, installation of water appliances and associated utilities, installation of chain link fencing, and additional associated work.
