DOG PARK IS NOW OPEN!
Stop by the new Ebensburg Rotary Club Dog Park near Lake Rowena!   This project was originally requested through surveys issued by the Ebensburg Borough.  As a community-focused organization, the Ebensburg Rotary Club led the design and fundraising efforts. It received tremendous recognition and support from residents, local business owners, Ebensburg Borough, the Cambria County Commissioners and grant office as well as State Representatives.
After several years, funds were successfully raised for this $228,000 project.  Straw Construction was awarded the project and construction was completed in Fall of 2023.
 
Dog Park Facts:
  • The dog park is located on Borough property near the roller hockey rink at Lake Rowena Park in Ebensburg at 952 Rowena Drive, Ebensburg, PA 15931. 
  • The Ebensburg Borough maintains the park.
  • The Dog Park has two sections - one for large dogs and one for small dogs.
  • The Dog Park includes water stations, waste stations, obstacles, benches, and perimeter fencing.
  • The construction involved installation of drainage lines, a new storm inlet, asphalt paving, concrete paving, installation of water appliances and associated utilities, installation of chain link fencing, and additional associated work.
We participated in many different fundraising and grant opportunities and events, and we would like to sincerely thank everyone who donated to this special project.
